Prof. Pablo Martinez-Martin is ein Weltrenommierter Neurologe und Wissenschaftler der spanischen öffentlichen Forschungsämter im Nationalen Zentrum für Epidemiologie, Institut für Gesundheit Carlos III (ISCIII). Mitglied des Konsortiums für biomedizinische Forschung bei neurodegenerativen Erkrankungen (CIBERNED – ISCIII), Madrid, Spanien.
Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Entwicklung und Validierung von unterschiedlichen klinischen Bewertungsskalen im Bereich neurodegenerativer Erkrankungen, insbesondere Parkinson und Alzheimer. Eines seiner Hauptinteressen gilt insbesondere der Lebensqualität von Parkinson- und Alzheimer Erkrankten, in welchem er als Pionier zahlreiche, bedeutende Publikationen zu diesem Thema veröffentlicht hat.
